What this list ranks
This is a curated directory of 30 notable, complete bipedal humanoid platforms from 21 manufacturers. Selection favors identifiable manufacturer references, relevant industrial or research platforms, and a mix of full-size and compact robots. It is a starting catalog, not an exhaustive market census or a claim that these are the world’s 30 best-performing robots.
Default order: documented evidence tier, then robot name A–Z. The row number is the position in this catalog. Changing the view to name or price order does not change that number. Version 1.0; reviewed 9 October 2026.
The evidence tiers
- Customer use: a model-specific official reference documents operational use at a named external customer, beyond a launch or isolated demonstration. Company-level deployments and another generation’s results do not qualify.
- Product catalog: the manufacturer publishes a named product or supported technical reference for the represented configuration, without an explicit pilot-only or development-only scope in the reviewed material. This does not imply stock, immediate delivery, or measured task reliability.
- Pilot / early access: model-specific official material describes a pilot, customer-site demonstration or early-access offer, with a limited operating or delivery scope.
- In development: official material identifies a development platform or program, but a current generally offered purchase configuration is not established by the reviewed sources.
These are editorial evidence categories. Customer use requires direct model-specific operational evidence. Otherwise, an explicit pilot, early-access or development-only scope determines the lower tier, even when a named product page exists. A product or supported developer reference without such a restriction is placed in Product catalog. Each profile links to its evidence and explains the assignment. Within each tier, names are ordered A–Z; record identifiers break exact name ties. No numerical intelligence, popularity or unverified test score is invented. A missing tier sorts last.
The benchmark reference
NIST’s Humanoid Robot Baseline Performance Benchmark proposes shared tests covering movement, manipulation and coordinated whole-body tasks. It provides a useful basis for understanding what comparable evidence should look like.
The NIST proposal does not supply this catalog’s ordering rule or results for these 30 entries. Our evidence tiers are an xpu live editorial method; they are not a NIST score, endorsement or certification. Until shared results with comparable conditions can be verified, manufacturer specifications and demonstrations remain separate from independent performance measurements.
Specifications and configuration scope
Product pages, manufacturer manuals, SDK references and official announcements are the primary sources. Heights use centimeters and mass uses kilograms; unit conversions are rounded. Degrees of freedom may count body joints, hands or actuators differently. Payload may refer to one arm, two arms, lifting or carrying. Runtime depends on task intensity. The profile records those distinctions.
Unpublished or unverified numbers are labeled Not published. We do not fill them using another model or generation. Source-check dates record a review of the linked references, not an independent physical test. Some references are legacy manuals and are labeled accordingly in the profile.
How prices are handled
Prices are manually curated with a source URL, review date, currency, configuration and market. Official identifies a manufacturer website or official offer. Reported identifies a third-party publication or research reference; the ≈ prefix flags an indicative figure, not a verified manufacturer quote. Reseller identifies a seller’s listed price, without asserting that the seller is manufacturer-authorized.
From is a stated starting price for the named configuration. Prices for an Ultra, EDU or other edition are explicitly scoped to that edition and must not be assumed to price the base model. Past identifies a historical reference, and Limited a limited or discontinued listing; neither establishes present availability. Profiles describe the conditions and link directly to the price evidence.
Contact for pricing means no usable model-specific purchase figure was found in the reviewed material. Deposits, subscriptions, target future costs and another generation’s price are not recorded as this robot’s purchase price. Conflicting third-party figures are not averaged into an invented official price.
Sorting groups currencies alphabetically and compares numerical amounts within a currency, without conversion; unpriced robots appear last. Reported and historical figures remain indicative even when sorted. Shipping, taxes, duties, options, support and integration can change the final cost. Confirm availability and a current written quote with the supplier.
Images and review
Images are sourced from manufacturer material where possible. Other documented product images have their source linked beneath the photo. Technical illustrations, family images and photographs of a different listed edition are labeled in the profile. Images are illustrative and do not establish the delivered configuration.
The catalog is manually maintained in WordPress. An editor can revise the manufacturer, robot specifications, price conditions and supporting evidence. If a source cannot be confirmed, retain the last verified scope or remove the unverified claim rather than inventing a value.
