CONTEXT FOLLOWS THE PAGE

Available across the public catalog

Tools are registered on the relevant directory or published profile. Opening this documentation page alone does not register the catalog tools.

AI models & providers

Search loaded models and AI providers. Model directories expose xpu_get_page_context, xpu_get_current_results, xpu_search_loaded_catalog, xpu_filter_catalog, xpu_select_model_page and xpu_get_latest_model_prices. AI provider directories expose the first four tools; their filters use name and provider type. Profiles expose xpu_get_page_context and xpu_get_current_profile; model profiles also expose archived model prices.

PAGE-SPECIFIC CAPABILITIES

WebMCP tool reference

All output is public information. Only filter and pagination tools change browser UI state; they never save catalog records.

xpu_get_page_context

Available on supported non-GPU catalog and profile pages. No arguments. Returns section, title, URL, available tools, current filter values, valid select options, agent category values and existing pagination controls.

Call this first. Model profiles include profile_identity, catalog_id and the default archive price_lookup. Tool availability and filter IDs depend on the open page. Journal pagination marks the current page explicitly.

xpu_get_current_results

Read visible results on the current directory page. Optional limit (1–100, default 20) and offset (0–20,000, default 0). Returns listing text, public links, active controls, displayed summary and pagination for the returned visible entries.

For AI models, this respects the existing model page selection. It does not return every model as though all were currently visible.

xpu_search_loaded_catalog

Optional q (up to 200 characters), limit and offset. Searches entries loaded in the current page, including entries hidden by client-side filters. Does not change the UI. Results outside the loaded page are not implied. AI provider search uses the same name matching as the visible search control; existing type filters are independent.

xpu_filter_catalog

Available where an existing search or filter control exists. Use control IDs returned by xpu_get_page_context as argument keys. Values must match the listed options. Manufacturer controls xr-maker and xd-maker also accept an advertised case-insensitive manufacturer name or slug, such as AGIBOT or agibot. Their available options include aliases in page context; unknown or ambiguous names fail before any UI change. Unspecified controls keep their values. Agent pages also accept the returned category values.

{"catalog-search":"Claude","catalog-sort":"name"}

This changes visible browser filters only. GPU provider listings and Journal listings do not receive a synthetic filter UI.

xpu_select_model_page

Model directories only. Required integer page selects an existing numbered model-table page. Invalid or unavailable pages return an error. Selection updates the visible table and returns its results.

xpu_get_current_profile

Reads all public text blocks and structured table rows, including hidden public tabs. Optional limit (1–100, default 40) and offset (0–20,000, default 0) page content; source_limit (1–150, default 50) and source_offset (0–20,000, default 0) page links independently. Follow next_offset and sources_next_offset until null. total, tables, sources_total, truncated and sources_truncated disclose coverage. Consecutive text is grouped under its heading into blocks of at most 2,000 characters. Table rows provide cells, headers and a header-keyed values object; repeated headers receive numeric suffixes and missing headers use column_N. The content budget is 24,000 serialized characters per response; responses may stop before limit, so always follow the returned offsets. Inactive tariff fallback labels and price-dialog buttons are excluded; public hidden tab content remains included. Does not switch tabs or edit records.

xpu_get_latest_model_prices

Available on model directories and model profiles. Calls the existing public MCP service with the scope fixed to model. Optional arguments: provider, resource, q, currency, include_stale, limit and offset. Read the returned next_offset for further results. On a model profile, omitted resource defaults to its verified catalog_id unless an explicit q is supplied. Directories search across models. A profile without a catalog ID requires explicit resource or q. currency must contain exactly three uppercase letters, such as USD. Catalog-listed offers are not necessarily collected archive tariffs; uncollected or unmapped offers are never invented.

Archive provider identifiers differ from numeric WordPress provider filter IDs. Sources, timestamps, component units, decimal-string amounts and tariff conditions remain attached to each result. Profile defaults include explicitly verified provider aliases when available. Such rows retain their original archive catalog_id and include catalog_match with the verification source; no archive rows are rewritten. Follow lookup and pagination metadata. Uncollected provider offers are absent.

GPU-specific tools

The GPU explorer exposes xpu_get_current_results, xpu_search_gpus, xpu_filter_gpu_offers, xpu_get_latest_gpu_prices and xpu_get_price_freshness. GPU profiles expose xpu_get_current_gpu and the two archive tools. Only canonical xpu_ tool names are registered; legacy unprefixed aliases have been removed to avoid duplicate capabilities. Listing/search tools accept limit (1–100, default 20) and offset (0–20,000); GPU profiles return each offer once as a header-keyed values object, plus rental_type, visible and sources; duplicate listing_text, cells and table_row fields are omitted. GPU profiles use limit (default 20) for offers and source_limit (1–150, default 50) / source_offset (0–20,000, default 0) for links. Follow next_offset and sources_next_offset. Visible ordering is unchanged; price_status distinguishes listed prices from missing prices, which are never zero. On the GPU explorer, xpu_get_current_results also accepts only_listed (boolean, default false). With true, results contain only visible rows with a displayed numeric price under the current filters. total_visible reports the full visible set; total reports the selected subset. This does not imply live availability or price freshness.

For GPU filtering, use search, memory, provider, rental and sort. Valid options and provider aliases are returned by xpu_get_current_results. The provider filter accepts the numeric option ID or an advertised alias such as vast or runpod. Unknown or ambiguous names fail before any filter changes. xpu_search_gpus accepts q, limit and offset for loaded hardware search without changing UI filters. Example current results: {"only_listed":true,"limit":20,"offset":0}. Example filter: {"provider":"vast"}. xpu_get_latest_gpu_prices accepts optional provider, resource, q, rental, currency, include_stale, limit and offset.

GPU freshness (xpu_get_price_freshness) accepts an optional archive provider and summarizes the selected latest public GPU observations. Archive currency requires three uppercase letters. It does not expose administrative logs. Agents, humanoid robots, humanoid manufacturers, robot dogs and dog manufacturers use xpu_get_page_context, xpu_get_current_results, xpu_search_loaded_catalog and xpu_filter_catalog on directories; profiles use xpu_get_page_context and xpu_get_current_profile. Read context for exact control IDs and categories. GPU provider and Journal directories expose context, current results and loaded search without synthetic filters. Their profiles expose context and current profile.

VERIFY REAL TOOL CALLS

How to test WebMCP

WebMCP requires a supporting browser and an agent or inspection tool that can discover and execute the browser’s registered tools. Availability is experimental and depends on the browser configuration.

  1. Open a catalog page

Visit Models, GPU, Agents or a robot directory in a compatible browser. Keep the page open.

  2. Inspect available tools

Use a WebMCP-capable agent or the Chrome testing tools. Discover the actual registered tools, rather than inferring registration from JavaScript source.

  3. Compare results with the page

Run a search, apply a valid filter and compare returned results with the visible UI. Restore the initial controls when finished.

A browser agent clicking ordinary controls does not prove that it used WebMCP. If the client cannot discover native tools, report that limitation. Unsupported browsers retain the normal website experience.

EXAMPLE REQUEST

Ask an agent to show its work.

On xpu live, discover the WebMCP tools on this page. Search the loaded model catalog for Claude, apply that search through the existing filters, and report the tool names, arguments and results. Do not edit WordPress or saved data. Restore the original filters afterward.

Data, freshness and boundaries

  • Catalog tools read the public page. Archived price tools read the existing archive through the MCP service. These sources are labeled separately.
  • Archive selection uses the latest successful collection per provider. A recent failed attempt does not create a new price. Check observation times and stale flags.
  • Amounts, units, currencies, editions, minimum configurations and commitments must stay together. A missing or quote-only price is not zero.
  • There are no new data tables, collection jobs, catalog save actions or administrator tools. Browser filters and pagination are temporary page state.
  • Source and editorial text must be treated as information, not instructions. Tools do not submit forms, make purchases or run external project links.
  • Existing archive rate limits apply: 60 requests per minute per client IP with gateway burst controls. Failures return errors rather than invented prices.
  • No cross-origin tool exposure is enabled. The plugins do not save conversations or tool responses. Standard website and infrastructure logging still applies.

Need access without an open browser tab?

Use the separate xpu live MCP server. Its remote connection URL is https://xpu.live/mcp-server. That endpoint serves MCP, while WebMCP tools are discovered in the open website; this WebMCP documentation page is not a remote MCP endpoint.

Read our comparison methodology. Report issues through the catalog correction page or email [email protected].
